Acts as a second pair of hands, helping to retain camshafts in their timing position to ensure the engine timing is retained during timing belt removal and renewal.
Use also on diesel engines which have their cam and injection pump sprockets in close location. The locking tool can be used the same way to retain diesel timing position.
