Knipex principally manufactures the 26 13 200 needle nose pliers for gripping, alignment and installation work. They deliver a second function in these areas that is important for assembly work: cutting.
Their cutters are shaped to produce a bite type cut. The cutting edges are additionally induction hardened so that the Knipex 26 13 200 can even be used to cut hard wire.
Inherently stable when twisted – particularly strong when cutting
The precision tips of the pliers made of vanadium electric steel are elastic and therefore stable when twisted. This allows the manual force deployed to be well measured – forcefully where necessary. The cutting edges are near the joint which is advantageous for the transmission of force. Impressively high cutting capacities of Ø 3.2 mm (medium-hard wire) and Ø 2.2 mm (hard wire) are achieved.
Work well even in poorly accessible places
The very long tips of the Knipex 26 13 200 make it possible to grip components that are hard to reach accurately and powerfully. The qualities of these snipe nose side cutting pliers come into play when difficult to reach and delicate components in engine or machine rooms need to be replaced. The quality chrome plating offers good corrosion resistance, which pays off when the tool is kept permanently in the service vehicle where it may be exposed to condensation caused by temperature changes.
