These forged, oil-hardened snipe nose side cutting pliers with dip-insulated handles are manufactured for installation, supply and assembly work and for powerful cutting. The shape of the cutting edges produces an efficient bite type cut. Since the cutting edges are additionally induction hardened to approx. 61 HRC, the Knipex 26 17 200 is also suitable for cutting hard wire.
Inherently stable when twisted – particularly strong when cutting
The precision tips of the pliers made of vanadium electric steel are elastic and therefore stable when twisted. This allows the manual force deployed to be well measured – forcefully where necessary. The position of the cutting edges near the joint is very advantageous for the transmission of force. The high cutting capacities achieved of Ø 3.2 mm for medium-hard wire and Ø 2.2 mm for hard wire are impressive.
