For fitters: cutting cable and stripping solid conductors
Multifunctional tool for NYM cable: for cutting and stripping (1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm²)
Unlike diagonal cutters with blades that meet at an obtuse angle, for example, Knipex cable shears cut using a scissors action.
This enables straight and clean cuts to be achieved, making them ideal for shortening cables in house wiring work: for NYM-J 3x1.5 mm, NYM-J 5x2.5 mm and all other stranded and finely stranded Cu and Al cable up to 35 mm². Due to the nature of their cutting edges, they should not be used to cut hard wire.
Knipex 95 41 165: for cutting cable with little physical effort
Protect the hands of the user: with the Knipex 95 41 165, the user only needs around one third of the manual force compared to conventional diagonal cutters due to the very sharp cutting edges. This reduced effort substantially reduces strain for the fitter, particularly when using the cable shears for prolonged periods, e.g. for building installation work. The ends of cables are cut so cleanly thanks to a scissors action and the precision ground cutting edges, that they can be directly processed. After dismantling, the wire stripping function on the Knipex 95 41 165 can be used.
Integrated wire stripping area, screwed, smooth operating joint and opening spring
The universal wire stripping area for both solid conductor cross-sections on the cutting edge tips also makes work easier, because they render one tool superfluous. These cable shears have the precisely running, bolted joint to thank for their very easy operation. The self-locking joint bolt can be tightened if necessary. The protected inset captive opening spring also contributes to the convenient cutting of larger cable cross-sections. The Knipex 95 41 165 saves one hand movement during each cutting operation: the opening.
